Actions have Consequences
Today we were privileged to be joined by Paul McGovern - retired prison officer from HMP - as well as members of the police, prison service and RSPCA, who delivered workshops to children on knife crime, prevention, reporting and drug risks.
As a Christian school, we value this wonderful time of year. Harvest is a time to be thankful for all we have been given. We always appreciate the kind donations and the fantastic generosity of our parents. This year, we politely asked our families to donate a box of cereal - all of which will be donated to local food banks. Today, we held a very special worship focused around, ‘the domino effect’. This emphasised to pupils how our actions can effect others, and what we can do to make sure that our actions are positive. Following this special worship, we used all the cereal boxes to make a whole school domino run/effect.
The children had an awesome time watching the domino run as it weaved through the school corridors, spiralling into the main hall for its spiral crescendo. A fun time was had by all!
