Tapestry

We recognise that parents and carers are a child’s first and most enduring educator, and we
value their contributions immensely.

In order to achieve the most effective home-school communication strategy, we use Tapestry Online Learning Journal.
Via Tapestry, teachers are able to share with parents/carers messages, photos
and video footage of each child’s learning in school. This means that parents are
kept well informed of their child’s progress towards the age related expected standards. In addition, parents and carers can send messages, photos and videos back to school as evidence of the enjoyable experiences they get up to at home.  This results in excellent two-way communication between school and home.

Below are examples of how Tapestry is used to communicate with parents & carers.

LSJP Teacher Use Only - News YR 2025

News pages are not private and all LSJP parent users can access the content on these pages.

News pages are strictly for school staff to share class news and generic class messages like in the example above.

Private Pupil Posts

Each pupil is set up with a private page which allows secure two-way communication between the child's parents & carers and the teachers in school.  This is an innovative way to keep parents & carers up-to-date with their child's learning, development and progress.
