Our offer of before and after school clubs

A.F.A (Awake Fit Active) Before School Club 7:45am to 8:45am Monday to Friday

Dress code – school uniform with PE uniform on your child’s PE days.

A.F.A (Awake Fit Active) is our new before school club run by our very own sports coach – Mr. Miller – and it begins promptly at 7:45am daily. This before school fitness session doesn’t allow for a flexi drop-off, and all children must arrive on time ready for entry into the school hall at 7:45am to participate in this active sports club. Parents and carers should still bring children to the back car park gate and wait until a member of staff opens up.

A.F.A before school club will include a wide range of inclusive physical activities and sporting disciplines which Mr. Miller will coach the children regardless of age or ability. All activities will be safe and suitable for children to access whilst they are wearing their full school uniform.

Parents and carers should also note that our A.F.A before school club does not include any breakfast snacks, and this is reflected in the daily cost of our provision - £3.50 per session. We understand that children will have eaten breakfast prior to the start of A.F.A; however, should they not have eaten, you may wish to send them with a healthy snack, which they can eat during a scheduled break. Snacks must be in line with our healthy schools approach and must not include chocolate, confectionary, sweets or crisps. Drinks should only include water as per our school policy. Water bottles can be refilled prior to the start of lessons before registration time.

Suitable snacks to bring to A.F.A before school club must be in disposable packaging and may include:

• A piece of fresh fruit

• Chopped fresh fruit in a disposable packet.

• Raisins.

• A cereal bar without chocolate.

• Plain croissant/pastry/brioche   

Booking A.F.A & Payment Method – bookings are made via the ParentMail Iris app. Weekly schedules are published in advance – 4 weeks prior – and all bookings MUST be made 48hrs prior. Parents and carers can book ad-hoc sessions for their child if they so wish, and payment is always taken at the point of booking. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept childcare vouchers or the Government’s Tax-Free Incentive.

H.O.F (Hanging Out with Friends) After School Activity Club 15:30pm to 17:15pm Monday to Thursday

H.O.F (Hanging Out with Friends) is our new after school activity club run by existing school staff. Children can enjoy a wide variety of enjoyable activities with their friends, including (but not limited to) crafts, Lego, drawing, opportunities to use the outdoor playground equipment, or making use of technology to complete homework challenges.

H.O.F After School Activity Club does not include any food snacks, and this is reflected in the daily cost of our provision - £5.50 per session. However, we are happy to allow children attending this after school club to bring a healthy snack, which they can eat during their time in club. Snacks must be in line with our healthy schools approach and must not include chocolate, confectionary, sweets or crisps.

Drinks should only include water as per our school policy. Water bottles can be refilled prior to the start of H.O.F club.

• A piece of fresh fruit.

• Chopped fresh fruit in a disposable packet.

• Cereal bars.

• Raisins.

• Pastries/brioche/cake bars

   

Dress code – children will wear school uniform, which may be PE kit if they have had their PE lesson the same day.

Collecting children from H.O.F After School Activity Club

Children should be collected at the rear car park gate and parents can collect at any time but no later than the 17:15pm closing time. Parents/carers who are late to collect their child from H.O.F will incur a late fine in line with our terms and conditions, which will need to be accepted prior to any child attending either A.F.A or H.O.F clubs. These will also be sent via ParentMail.
