• Batman's Birthday!

  Our Y1 boys and girls were learning how to write letters. Once they realised that it was Batman's birthday, they decided to write a letter to him to invite him to a celebration. He surprised the children and arrived just in time for his birthday party.

  

• Dances from around the world!

  What a fantastic experience we had! The dance teachers from Bedford High School came into school to provide opportunities for ALL of our St John's boys and girls to learn a dance from another part of the world.

  

• Roman Dewa Experience!

  The children in Y3 and Y4 visited Chester and were transported back in time! They had unusual clothing and there was a strange smell in the air. Suddenly, a Roman soldier appeared! They were told to get into lines and marched through Chester with their shields, before cheering for their Roman Gladiator who battled the enemy!

  

• Is it really Roman poo?

  The children in Year 3 and 4 investigated what was inside different poo samples to decide whether it was from Roman times. They found melon seeds and bread grains in the Roman poo and sweetcorn and chocolate in the modern poo! What a smelly, but fun experience!
