A visit from Mrs Shenton
Today, the year two children had a very special visit from Mrs Shenton as part of our topic on Africa.
Mrs Shenton, who originates from Nigeria, came for a question and answer afternoon. She wore traditional African clothing, brought in pictures of homes in Nigeria and pictures from her very own wedding day! The children asked her lots of questions about what life is like in Nigeria and the differences in our cultures. She even taught the children some words in her native language! A very special thank you is extended to Mrs Shenton for a fantastic knowledge filled afternoon!
