ASTA First Aid Event
Well done to our Year 6 sports Leaders who attended the first aid event as part of ASTA.
The children were able to have the opportunity to learn some basic first aid through role play and gain some vital knowledge to help them should they find themselves in an emergency situation. They looked at speaking to the 999 service, dangers around them and when it is or is not appropriate to attend to an injured person, how to deal with bleeding, how to put someone who is breathing normally into the recovery position, how to tell if someone is breathing normally and how to perform CPR. The children did a great job and represented Leigh St Johns with superb attitudes. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
