All of our boys and girls made their own Christingle to take to the Church Service. Father Kevin welcomed our whole St John's family to learn about the importance of Christmas. The children remembered the importance of Christmas and how Jesus was born on Christmas Day.The children were eager to share their understanding of the Christingle and what each part represents.
When making their Christingles, they discussed it's meaning:
*The orange represents the world.
*The red ribbon represents Jesus' blood and his love.
*The four cocktail sticks filled with sweets represent the four seasons and the gifts that Jesus shared with us.
*The candle reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world and he brings brightness and joy to everyone.
It was lovely to see so many grown ups at church, joining in with the Christmas Carols!
