🚒 Y6 Greater Manchester Fire Service Visit 🚒

This morning the children have been visited by members of the Greater Manchester Fire Service. Local firemen came to discuss the dangers of fires in our homes and places around us, how to contact 999 and what we should do in case of a fire to keep us safe.
We watched videos to show us the dangers of what can happen when teenagers lit a fire on school grounds, the damage this can cause and the consequences of what happened. Some of our children demonstrated STOP, DROP AND ROLL for themselves being on fire and were also able to try on the personal safety equipment that firemen are required to wear when responding to emergencies.
The children were very respectful and asked sensible questions when given the opportunity.
A great visit from our local fire service!
