Our Year 2 pupils joined forces with the drama department at Bedford High School to put on a wonderful musical production of Annie. It was lovely for our young children to experience performing inside a real drama studio and they certainly rose to the occasion and treated the packed audience to a superb performance.
We all got ready for Rio in style with our spectacular Olympic Sports event held at Leigh Sports Village. Our little St. John's athletes competed fiercely and managed to have lots of fun too. Well done to Greece, Jamaica and Russia who were our medal winners in the team events.
What a splendid day it was! Dressed as Kings and Queens, our children put on an amazing assembly, sharing all the facts they had learned about Queen Elizabeth II. Then we all enjoyed 'proms in the park' with a special performance by the Bedford High School choir. The day was topped off by a very British Royal Variety Show where much St. John's talent was showcased.
